Chapter 2: Installing the Fan Control Module
Connecting the Fan Control Module to the Cable Monitoring Hub
Connect the Cable Monitoring Hub (15) to the Fan Control Module (1) with the Cable Hub to Fan Control
Module Cable (2). Route the length of the cable (2) from the Cable Monitoring Hub (15) to the Fan Control
Module (1) along the bin in the desired manner. Once the cable (2) has reached the Fan Control Module
(1) and the routing and clipping is complete, the free end of cable (2) can be terminated inside the Fan
Control Module (1). Manage the cable (2) every 3' using P-clips.

1. The free end of the cable (2) will enter the Fan Control Module (1) through the left most cord grip
(17). Before running the cable (2) through the cord grip (17), excess length of cable (2) can be cut
off. Do not cut the cable (2) too short, and leave a few feet of extra cable (2) should any re-work or
re-routing be required.
2. Open the lid of the Fan Control Module (1) and loosen off the left most cord grip (17) external
compression nut. Remove the cord grip sealing plug. Route the cable (2) through the cord grip (17).
Pull a working length of cable (2) through the cord grip (17).
3. Strip the outer jacket of the cable (2) back by 2" to 3" (55 mm to 75 mm). Cut away the internal grey
stranded material.
4. Using wire strippers with an 18AWG stranded wire stripping hole, strip off 3/8" (10 mm) of insulation
from each of the four conductors.
