    Chapter 2: Installing the Fan Control Module Intended Use of Equipment The Fan Control Module is intended to be used with the GrainVue Cable Monitoring System. When connected to a GrainVue Cable Monitoring Hub, the Fan Control Module provides electrical power to the Cable Monitoring Hub and features 8 control channels for use with aeration fans and/or heaters.

    Chapter 2: Installing the Fan Control Module Installing the Fan Control Module The Fan Control Module should be mounted 1-2 sheets clockwise from the bin door at an accessible height from the ground. Use the provided Z-brackets and Fan Control Module mounting plate to secure it to the bin.

    Chapter 2: Installing the Fan Control Module Connecting the Fan Control Module to the Cable Monitoring Hub Connect the Cable Monitoring Hub (15) to the Fan Control Module (1) with the Cable Hub to Fan Control Module Cable (2). Route the length of the cable (2) from the Cable Monitoring Hub (15) to the Fan Control Module (1) along the bin in the desired manner.

    NOTE: Your system will come with either 8 relays (part # 074-11980) or an 8 channel logic driver (Part # 074-11983) for fan control. The fan control method was determined at the time of ordering.   • Page 23 4. Connect the outdoor rated cable to a circuit protected by a 250V, 15A circuit breaker. Label the circuit breaker to indicate that it is used to control power to the GrainVue Fan Control Module, and make sure that the ON and OFF positions are clearly identified.

    NOTE: The Fan Control Module has no manual shut off for fan control. When wiring relays and other controls, ensure that a manual fan shut off is installed, independent from the GrainVue system. There are two versions of the Fan Control Module, one uses relays to control fans, and the other uses logic signals.

    Chapter 2: Installing the Fan Control Module Installing the Plenum Sensor NOTE: If the system does not include the Plenum Sensor, proceed to the next section. Leave the cord grip sealing plug located in the center cord grip marked “Plenum Sensor” in place. Do not remove this sealing plug.
