The fuel used for internal combustion en-
gines is extremely inflammable and can
become explosive under particular condi-
tions. We advise to stop the engine and to carry out
the refuelling and the maintenance operations in a
well-ventilated area.
Do not smoke neither while refuelling nor near fuel
vapours.
In any case avoid any contact with free flames,
sparks and any other source of heat to prevent them
from catching fire or from exploding.
Furthermore avoid any fuel discharge from the fuel
filler as it could catch fire when getting in contact
with the red-hot surfaces of the engine.
In case some fuel is discharged unintentionally, con-
troll that the area has become completely dry and
before starting the motocycle verify that there is no
fuel inside the fuel filler neck.
Carefully screw up the plug (1 - Fig. 15) after the
refuelling.
Avoid any contant of the skin with the fuel, any va-
pours inhalation or swallowing and the pouring out
from a receptacle into another by means of a tube.

Use only premium grade petrol in conformity with the
DIN 51 600 standard, min O.N. 98 (N.O.R.M.) and 88
