If an electric component fails to work or works irregu-
larly, or if the scooter fails to start, it is necessary to
check the fuse.
Turn the ignition switch on "OFF" to avoid any acciden-
tal short circuit.
To check or to change the fuse, remove the inspection
lid (see "Removign the inspection lid" - page 64), ex-
tract the fuse (1) and check if it cuts out.
If necessary, change it with the fuse supplied or with
another one with the same amperage.
Never use fuses different form the recom-
mended ones.
The use of unfitted fuses could cause dam-
ages to the electric system or, in case of short circuit,
even a fire.
If the fuse cuts out frequently, there is prob-
ably a short circuit or an overload in the elec-
tric system. In this case it is advisable to consult an
Authorized Aprilia Dealer.
