FRONT BRAKE
To check the wear of the front brake shoes it is necess-
ary:
To remove the front wheel (see "Removing the front
wheel" - page 54).
To extract the brake shoe cap which holds the two
shoes.
Now it is possible to check the thickness of the fric-
tion material which should not be lower than 1 mm
(Fig. 36). Consult an Authorized Aprilia Agent in
case of minimum limit allowed, of some anomalies
in the functioning or of damaged parts.
After checking or changing, if necessary, the shoes,
put the brake shoe cap back on the wheel and carry
out the operations to put the wheel back.
REAR BRAKE
To check the wear level of the rear brake shoes it is
necessary:
To remove the rear wheel (see "Removing the rear
wheel" - page 56)
To carry out the same operations necessary for the
checking of the front shoes wear.
Put the wheel back.
