Brakes are those parts which ensure for the
most your safety and for this reason must be
always kept perfectly working.
ADJUSTMENT
‹
Measure the maximum distance covered by the
lever before the brake begins to brake.
The idle stroke at the end part of the brake must be
5 10 mm approximately (Fig. 19).

To adjust the play, work on the nut (1 - Fig. 20 - 1 -
Fig. 21) fitted on the brake arm.
‹
Repeatedly put on the brake and check that the
wheel is free to move once the brake is released.
‹
Verify the braking efficiency.
In case of doubts about the perfect function-
ing of the braking system and about control
and check-up operations you are not able to
carry out by yourselves, do not hesitate in consulting
your Aprilia Dealer.
