If the vehicle hasn't been active for a long period,
switch on the starting motor for about ten seconds thus
allowing the carburettor chamber to fill up.
To start the engine, rotate the cold start lever (1-Fig.
25) clockwise (outwards) and accelerate by turning the
twist grip slightly, then carry out the start procedure.
Exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide, an
extremely obnoxious substance if inhaled.
Avoid starting the scooter in closed or bad-
ventilated rooms.
The non-observance of these warnings could cause
loss of consciousness or even lead to death by as-
phyxia.

Release the twist grip (Pos. A - Fig. 26) and lock the
rear brake, then move the vehicle down the stand.
Get on the vehicle keeping at least on foot on the
ground to balance the vehicle.
Adjust the rear-mirrors in the right inclina-
tion.
To leave, release the brake lever, smoothly turn the
twist grip (Pos. B - Fig. 26); then the vehicle moves off.
