selection.
To configure the console serial port as a TTY Console using the CLI,
enter the following command:
set console type {tty|ppp}

You can reconfigure the serial port as a PPP console to support a
dial-in PPP connection using either the web agent or the CLI. Before
you can do so, however, you must connect a modem to the switch.
* Note: If you do not configure an IP address for the PPP serial
interface, the switch immediately sends the modem
configuration string. If you type TTY, you will re-access
the CLI login prompt.
