8.1.2 Safety instructions for the combustion engine

8.1.3 Personnel qualification
The lifting device may only be used by operators who fulfil the following requirements:
•
The operator has reached the age of 18.
•
The operator is physically and mentally fit and can be expected to
reliably fulfil the tasks assigned to him.
•
The operator has been instructed in the operation of the lifting device
and has read and understood the operating instructions.
8.1.4 Protective equipment
The following protective equipment is required for operation:
•
Industrial safety helmet
•
Safety shoes
•
Sturdy work gloves depending on the load
•
Tight-fitting clothing
•
Use a hairnet if necessary.

Depending on the load surface, noise levels may occur that require hearing protection to be worn.

The fuel is flammable and
explosive. The vapours are
harmful to health.
Switch off the engine and allow it to cool down before refuelling.
Ensure that there are no open fires in the vicinity.
Only fill the fuel tank to approx. 4 cm below the top edge of
the filler neck to allow the fuel to expand.
After refuelling, close the fuel tank tightly.
The exhaust gas from the combustion engine contains toxic carbon monoxide.
Inhalation can lead to unconsciousness and even death!
Never operate the lifting device in closed rooms,
not even in a partially enclosed environment where people
could be present.
High noise level due to leakage between load and suction pad
Hearing damage!
Measure the noise level with typical loads.
