8.1.1 Safety instructions for operation

1. Do not let go of the operating handle.
Keep an eye on the pressure gauge.

Falling objects when handling over 1.8 m
Serious injuries or death!
When handling loads with a centre of gravity of more than
1.8 m, cordon off the work area.
Wear an industrial safety helmet.
Serious injuries or death from falling objects!
Apply the load securing chain(s) before each handling of the suctioned
load.
Always keep the load securing chain(s) taut.
Before handling, ensure that no persons are in the danger
zone.
Never carry loads over people.
Observe the maximum permissible load capacity (see type
plate and load capacity sticker on the suction plate).
Ensure that the maximum permissible load of the lifting aid is
at least as great as the dead weight of the lifting device with
suction plate and the permissible load of the lifting device.
Ensure that there are no loose objects on the load.
Do not store loads suspended.
The load hook can open if the load chain is not tensioned. The
lifting device may fall down.
Serious injuries or death!
When lowering the lifting device, ensure that the load hook is
always under slight tension.
The surface of the load is dusty, dirty, oily, damp or icy.
Risk of injury due to falling load!
Before handling, ensure that the surface of the load is clean,
dry and free of ice.
