Command Function
IP setup commands, IPv6
IPv6 is disabled by default but can be enabled and configured via SIS commands. The IPL EXP Control System Power Expansion
Interfaces supports dual stack (the ability to use both IPv4 and IPv6). You can set either or both IP protocols active at any point in time.
NOTE:
While IPv4 is disabled, the unit cannot be accessed and controlled via Extron software.

NOTES:
A network restart (2BOOT command) is required for IP version changes to be applied.
Firmware prevents disabling both IPv4 and IPv6. If IPv6 is turned off, then IPv4 turns on and vice-versa. An unsolicited message showing
the changed setting will appear when the IP version is changed.
If the device (NIC) does not support IPv6 then IPv4 cannot be disabled and IPv6 cannot be enabled with the
If a NIC does not support IPv6, the unit issues an E14 error. This could potentially happen if the unit has a firmware version older than
v1.01.0000-b026.
DHCP status and modes in IPv6

static IP address), IPv6

A network restart (2BOOT command) is required for DHCP changes to be applied.
Address generation mode in IPv6

NOTE:
If IPv6 is enabled in Extron devices, the device generates an EUI-64 address based on its MAC address.
00-05-A6-xx-yy-zz
For a MAC address of
fe80::205:a6ff:feXX:YYZZ /64
The EUI-64 address provides a predictable unit address for access from PC to device while they are on the same subnet.
