Anti-Malware
Check Point Anti-Malware protects your network from all kinds of malware threats, ranging
from worms and Trojans to adware and keystroke loggers. Use Anti-Malware to centrally
manage the detection and treatment of malware on your endpoint computers.
The Endpoint Security Management Server regularly updates Anti-Malware definitions from a
Check Point update server.
Prerequisites for Anti-Malware
Before configuring Anti-Malware, you must:
1.
Configure the Endpoint Security Management Server to work with a proxy server
a. On the Endpoint Security Management Server, run:
cpstop
b. Open $UEPMDIR/engine/conf and edit the local.properties file.
Note - Delete the # character from the beginning of each row that you edit.
c. Add these properties:
Property
Proxy server's IP address
The proxy server's listening
port
The username if basic
authentication is enabled on
the proxy server. Leave it
empty if no authentication is
required.
The password if basic
authentication is enabled on
the proxy server.
d. Save the $UEPMDIR/engine/conf/local.properties file.
Example
http.proxy.host=<IP address>
http.proxy.port=<port number>
http.proxy.user=<username>
