Relative Marker Measurements

The HOLD X and HOLD Y marker bands are also used to measure points on the display relative to a
fixed reference. As an example, here are the steps to measure the amplitude level of a harmonic
relative to the fundamental:
1. Activate the Y marker and move it to the peak of the fundamental.
2. Press HOLD Y UPPER to activate the Y marker band.
3. Rotate the Markers knob until the band spreads from the fundamental to the harmonic in
question.
4. The absolute amplitude of the fundamental is displayed as "Y
harmonic relative to the fundamental is displayed as "6.Y
of the screen.
