Install a fan cage
Follow instructions in this section to install a fan cage.
About this task
To avoid potential danger, make sure to read and follow the safety information.
Attention:
• Read
"Installation Guidelines" on page 43
you work safely.
• Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
node and chassis; then, take the component out of the package and place it on a static-protective
surface.
Procedure
Step 1.
Install the fan cage into the node.
a.
Align the fan cage with guide pins on both sides of the node; then, lower the fan cage and
slide it toward the front of the node until it is securely engaged.
b.
Pivot the release plungers to the locked position.

Connect all the fan cables to the system board.
