Meter Communications Settings
Procedure

Series Firmware v1.60 and later, MeterLink will display a Meter Login dialog box
and require a valid username and password to be entered to make a connection.
The default username for a meter from the factory or for a meter upgraded
from a firmware version prior to v1.60 is administrator. The default password is
Administrator-XXXXX where XXXXX is the non-zero padded CPU serial number which
can be found on a label on the CPU Module. MeterLink v1.90 or later is required to
make a connection to a meter requiring user authentication. See Manage Users in
the Rosemount 3810 Series Liquid Ultrasonic Flow Meters: Operations Manual for
more details on setting up users, user types and passwords.

and is used to adjust the Baud Rate and Comms Address (i.e. Modbus ID) for the
serial ports.
