REAR WHEEL/SUSPENSION
INSPECTION
Visually i n spect the shock absorber for damage.
Check the following:
- Damper unit for deformation or oil l e aks
- Upper and lower damper bushing for wear or damage
CAUTION:
Do not disassemble the shock absorber.
• Replace the shock absorber if any component is damaged.

INSTALLATION
Install the shock absorber to the frame.
Install and tighten the shock absorber upper mount bolt to
the specified torque.
TORQUE: 12 N-m (1.2 kgf.m, 9 lbf.fl)
Install and tighten the shock absorber l o wer mount nut to the
specified torque.
TORQUE: 34 N-m (3.5 kgf.m, 25 lbf.fl)
Check the operation of lhe shock absorber (page 3·20).
