● If the M48500N1 is damaged, contact the local Huawei office.
● To avoid electric shock, do not put your hands into a module slot.
● When an M48500N1 is running, high temperature is generated around the air
exhaust vent at the rear. Do not touch the vent or cover the vent with cables or
other objects.
● In an outdoor scenario, you are advised to power on the module within 24
hours after unpacking. If the module cannot be powered on in time, place it in
a dry indoor environment without corrosive gas.
● In an indoor scenario, you are advised to power on the module within seven
days after unpacking. If the module cannot be powered on in time, place it in a
dry indoor environment without corrosive gas.
Procedure
Step 1 Install an M48500N1.

8.4 Installing a DG Expansion Module

Context
If a DG expansion module is required, perform the following steps to install it.
Procedure
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.
Step 2 Remove the filler panel from the slot for installing the DG expansion module.
Step 3 (Optional) Install a SIM card in the DG expansion module.
