LEVEL ADJUST
Some pickups show a pretty high level tolerance between the left and right channel.
In this case the preamp
077
is equipped with an automatic level adjust function.
This function measures the channel differences and automatically adjusts them.
This requires that your record player is configured correctly.
How to approach:
Select a moderate volume, household noise level at max.
With the left rotary switch or the navigation buttons ► ◄ on your remote control
select the menu option PH-A-ADJ.
To activate the adjustment, turn the right rotary switch or use the navigation
buttons ▲ ▼ on your remote control until the displays shows PH-A-ADJ ON. Now
turn the left rotary switch or use the navigation buttons ► ◄. The display will show
PH-A-ADJ OK?.
Put a standard test record on your record player. The preamp requires a
wave stereo signal. Now lower the pickup on the record. As soon as you hear the
measurement- signal, activate the measurement by pressing the OK button on your
remote control.
During the measurement-process the display will show MEASURE... .
If both channel levels are equal, the display will show LEFT = RIGHT,
and adjustment is not necessary.
If the channel levels are different the display will show ADJUST..., and the
adjusts the channel difference. After correctly finishing the adjust-process the
display will show ADJ- COMPLETE.
If the difference between the channels is more than
OVERFLOW! and the adjust-process will abort. In this case you should check your
record player and the connectors for any errors.
If the measured signal is too low, or there is no signal at all, the display will show
LOW SIGNAL. In this case check all connectors. If those are all connected
correctly, then slowly increase the volume.
At any time you can abort the adjust-process with pressing OK on your remote
control. The display will then show ADJUST OFF!.
