AMPLIFICATION
It is possible to adjust the total amplification of the MAIN level of your preamp
for an improved level adjustment to the connected power amps or active speakers.
Select menu item M-OUT with the left rotary switch or the navigation
buttons ► ◄ on your remote control.
With the right rotary switch or the navigation buttons ▲ ▼ on your remote control
you may select one of the following:
HIGH
high amplification, max. +
LOW
low amplification, max. +
To operate BURMESTER power amps we recommend the setting LOW.
CONFIGUR ATION OF INPUT 6
Through factory settings the INPUT 6/SURR (23) of the preamp
as a surround input for the MAIN level, i.e. the signal is transported directly to the
MAIN output, avoiding volume control and all amps.
Instead, if you prefer not to connect a surround decoder, you may use the input
as a regular high-level input with volume control (like INPUT

Select menu item M-IN6 with the left rotary switch or the navigation
buttons ► ◄ on your remote control.

NOTICE:
If the setting SURR is selected, a security check via display will
follow M- IN6:SU OK?. Now confirm by pushing the OK button on your
remote control.

The Record Setup

The RECORD SETUP offers the adjustment of functions like BALANCE, INITIAL
VOLUME, VOLUME SCALE, VOLUME CONTROL and TAPE MONITOR LOCK for the
RECORD level.
The following chart provides an overview of all menu items, which can be adjusted
in the RECORD SETUP. The factory settings (defaults) are listed in brackets.
Subsequent to the chart you will find a detailed description of the menu items.

The RECORD SETUP MENU is activated by pulling up the switch key (15) on the front
panel or by pressing the MENU button on your remote control. The display indicates
the activation by showing RECORD SETUP, followed by the first menu item.
NOTICE:
In order to activate the RECORD SETUP, the device has to be in
RECORD level (REC/MAIN-LED (5) is illuminated).
To exit and automatically save the menu pull up the switch key (15) or press the
MENU button on your remote control.
