HDCP (High De nition Content Protection) is set to On to default as nowadays all TV sets with
an HDMI connector support HDCP. If you face problems with the HDMI connection, you can
deactivate HDCP, which allows watching via HDMI without problems. Please consider that
movies which are broadcasted with an extra content protection might not be shown when
HDCP is set to O .
7.4.3 Interface setting
This submenu provides options to adjust the OSD transparency, Banner time and Auto Standby settings.

7.4.4 Time setting
This submenu provides to watch the time and date settings. The Time is automatically set from ASTRA 19.2
satellite. Manual adjustment cannot bedone.
7.4.5 Change password
Menu to set or change PIN codes for Parental controll of receiver and smartcard.

To change the PIN code, you must know the previous PIN code. Then you can enter and con rm
the new PIN code.

7.4.6 Parental control
This submenu allows you to control the blocking of certain programmes from unrestricted viewing, access
to certain menu options and usage of the EPG based on parental rating system if supported by the local
broadcast. Before entering this submenu, you must enter the correct PIN code. The default value is 0000.

7.4.7 USB upgrade
This submenu allows to update your receiver with last improved software version trough USB.
Check time-to-time our website under this model number if there USB update availeble.
Download the software to your computer. Unzip the le into folder and you will nd le with name "dts8217.
udl". Copy the le to USB pen formatted in FAT32 format. Insert USB pen into your receiver and select this
item. Follow the instruction on screen.

De ne the period of time of the receiver automatically switching to Standby mode if
no commands have been received from the remote control. Available options: o , 30
min, 1 Hour, 2 Hours, 3 Hours (default value),..., 12 Hours.
To change the PIN code of your receiver.
To change the PIN code of your smartcard. This function is only available while the
smartcard is inserted.
You only have 3 (!) attempts to enter the correct active PIN code from HD+
smart card. If you exceed this quantity, you have to contact your operator
for help.
The default value is set to O . Select one of the age levels to protect content with
higher level with PIN code.
Available options: 6 years old, 8 years old, ..., 18 years old.
