ALARMS: CAUSES & CORRECTIONS
The Information Screen notifies the user an alarm has occurred and displays information
regarding the alarm. When MENU is pressed, the correction messages contained in the "Cor-
rection" column of the following Troubleshooting Guide table will appear.
There are three types of alarms:

Operation Alarms: Press MENU to see the Help Screen which contains the guidelines in
the Correction column of the Alarm Troubleshooting table below. Clear the alarm by
pressing HOLD.

System Alarms: Press HOLD, then press RUN to restart the infusion.

Repair Instrument Alarms: Press HOLD and turn the pump off and then on again
(similar to rebooting a personal computer). If the alarm recurs, return the pump to a
Biomedical Professional for service.
When an alarm condition occurs, the following steps are recommended:
1.
Read the message displayed on the Information Screen.
2.
Press HOLD to silence the alarm.
3.
Press ENTER with HELP highlighted to display the correction messages contained in the
Correction column below.
4.
Correct the cause of the alarm.
5.
Press RUN to continue the infusion.
6.
Monitor the process according to institution policy.
