TROUBLESHOOTING

See Base — front view on page 5 for a description of the LEDs on the front of the
base. See Handset screen — idle mode on page 6 for a description of the
connection status indicators on the handset screen.
The following is a list of solutions to the most common issues that you may
experience when you use the TS-850i. Most of the problems you can easily solve
yourself, whereas others require that you contact your service provider.
Problem
The handset display
is black.
The handset does
not charge.
The handset is
registered to the
wrong base.

Possible causes
The handset is in power
saving mode.
The batteries
are drained.
Power is not turned on.
The handset charger is
not powered.
The batteries are not
inserted correctly.
You have multiple
bases, and the handset
is registered to the
wrong one.
Possible solutions
Press any key.
Charge the batteries.
Check that the batteries
are inserted with the
plus and minus ends
facing the correct way.
Press and hold the Red
Phone key.
Check that the power
adapter is connected
properly to the
handset charger.
Check that the batteries
are inserted with the
plus and minus ends
facing the correct way.
Clear the handset
registrations by
pressing the Reset
button for about 10
seconds until all four
LEDs on the base light
up. This restores factory
defaults.
