4.2.9. Transport conditions

The transport conditions are based on IEC 60721-3-2.
– Classification: 2K12 / 2B1 / 2M4 (with empty cooling circuit)
– Transport time: maximum 2 months

4.3. Storage

The storage procedures described below must be followed in order to avoid damage or a
degradation of quality due to corrosion, dirt or mechanical damage. The corresponding
precautions must be observed from the time the equipment is put into storage until the
time it is taken out of storage and installed. Access to the storage rooms should be
restricted to authorized personnel.
In order to minimize the risk of damage, all equipment must be easily accessible for
inspection and/or repairs. Equipment must be stacked in such a way that no item can be
damaged by the weight of any other part.
Firefighting equipment must be present and easily accessible. The storage room must be
kept clean at all times and the accumulation of waste and old packing material must be
avoided. In order to prevent soiling or damage to the equipment, precautions must be
taken to prevent insects and animals from getting into the storage area.

4.3.1. Storage conditions

The PCS6000 converter can be stored for up to 1 year in the original packaging as long as it
is not damaged or opened.
NOTE – For information on longer storage periods contact ABB.
The minimum requirements for storage are based on IEC 60721-3-1.
