8.7. Lockout/Tagout

DANGER
The PCS6000 contains no user-operable parts inside the medium voltage
cabinets. Access to these units is permitted for qualified service personnel only.
▶ De-energize before lockout/tagout! Before the internals of the PCS6000 are
accessed for service purposes, the relevant components of the converter must
be de-energized safely.
▶ The mandatory lockout/tagout procedure is described in the service manual.
This procedure is coordinated with the site manufacturer.

8.8. EMERGENCY OFF button

IMPORTANT! The emergency off stops only the MV part of the converter. The 3AC 400V and
+/-24V DC auxiliary supply inside the converter does not shut down.
When pressing the local or, if applicable, the remote EMERGENCY OFF button a trip is
initiated, ie:
– Pulses are blocked
– DC-link is discharged via the VLU
– Grid breaker(s) is/are opened (if applicable).
– Generator breaker is opened (if not externally inhibited)
– Grid disconnectors are in ground position (2CL application)
NOTE – The emergency off status is signalized to the overriding controller. For more
information refer to the operation and interface documents in the appendix. Release the
EMERGENCY OFF button and reset the trip according to section 8.10.1, Alarm and trip
reset, page 104.
