IPs and DNS. Select DHCP Off in Menu> System>Network Setting>IP setting to enter your own settings
if required. When setting up manually, you need to provide a unique IP address, Netmask, Gateway
and DNS for your receiver, use the GREEN button to insert your settings. Refer to the manual of your
router or modem to setup properly. signalling will give momentary status of connection, like cable
unplugged, local network or internet.
3.3.4 Connecting a USB storage device
NOTE:
For proper functioning of Timeshift and recording functions, a fast USB device (such as a hard
disk drive) is needed. Interrupted playback or a distorted picture during playback or Timeshift are
indications for a low device speed. STRONG cannot guarantee proper functioning of recording and or
Timeshift functions with all USB devices.

4.0 STARTING UP FOR THE FIRST TIME

If you use your receiver for the first time, the Installation Guide menu appears.
Use pq to move the highlight to the setting you wish to change and use t u to change values.
Start by selecting your On-Screen Language (OSD) using t u. Once you have selected your
language, press q to move the highlight to Country. Select your country using t u.
At Input new Password, insert the PIN code of your choice and confirm it in Confirm Password. At
Channel Search, choose the tuner you intend to use. Available settings are Full Scan (to search
terrestrial and satellite channels), DVB-S2 and DVB-T2.
Once all these settings have been made, press OK to continue.
If you have selected DVB-T2, the scan will start automatically without further settings, otherwise it will
be necessary to set the satellite as reported in chapter 4.2.1.
NOTE:

4.1 DVB-T2 installation

To access the terrestrial channel search press MENU and use t u to select Channel Search. Then use
pq to select Terrestrial Channel Search and press OK. To access this menu it is necessary to insert the
PIN code set during the first installation.

We recommend the use of a hard disk drive USB 2.0 or higher for recording
and play back of TV events.
If you have selected Full Scan on Channel Search, the receiver will scan
DVB-T2 channels after the DVB-S2 scan.
Press OK to access this menu. Select Yes to start the scan or No or Cancel to
exit.
This menu allows to scan one singular channel. Pess OK to access this option
and use t u to set the channel number to be scanned. Once the number
has been set press OK to start the scan.
Use t u to set the country of your choice.
