Troubleshooting

Fault description
Temperature
Set-point temperature is not
reached after specified time.
BF, FD, FED: The fan doesn't
turn or turns too slowly.
Chamber heating permanently,
set-point not held.
Chamber doesn't heat up. Heat-
ing icon is displayed.
Chamber doesn't heat up. No
heating icon in the display. Con-
troller display working.
Chamber without function, the
standby icon is displayed.
BD, BF: Alarm message "!TProt"
is displayed
ED, FD, FED: Chamber without
function. Alarm message "!TLim"
is displayed
Chamber without any function.
Deviations from the indicated
heating-up times.
Controller
Message „1999" in the controller
display
Only qualified service personnel authorized by BINDER must perform repair.
Repaired chambers must comply with the BINDER quality standards.

Chamber door not properly
closed.
Door gasket defective.
Controller not adjusted.
Wrong voltage.
BF, FED: Fan speed set too
low
Fan defective.

Heating element defective.
Semiconductor relay defective.
Timer run off.
Semiconductor relay defective.
Controller defective.
Chamber in standby mode.
Safety device class 3.1 has
responded.
Safety device class 2 has
turned off the chamber.
Safety device class 2 defec-
tive.
No power supply.
Overtemperature protective
device class 1 has turned off
the chamber.
Controller defective.
Chamber fully loaded.
Sensor rupture between sen-
sor and controller.
Required measures
Completely close chamber door.
Replace door gasket,
Calibrate and adjust controller.
Check the power supply for correct
voltage (chap. 4.2).
BF, FED: Set fan speed to 100%
Contact BINDER service.
Contact BINDER service.
Calibrate and adjust controller.
Contact BINDER service.
Re-program the timer or turn it off.
Contact BINDER service.
Press down the standby button until
the display lights up.
Check the settings of the tempera-
ture set-point and of the safety de-
vice class 3.1 (chap. 7.3).
Let cool down the chamber. Check
the settings of the temperature set-
point and of the safety device class
2 (chap. 7.3). If appropriate, select
suitable limit value.
Contact BINDER service.
Check connection to power supply.
Disconnect the chamber from the
power supply for at least 10 seconds
and let it cool down. If the device
responds again, contact BINDER
service
Contact BINDER service.
Load the chamber less or consider
longer heating-up times.
Contact BINDER service.
