Range of External Inductors

The control software has limits that provide for a large range of inductors.
Minimum is 1 H; maximum is 1000000 H. You need to decide what first pulse
length is appropriate for your DUT. Note that self heating and voltage drop in the
capacitor bank's high range and switching speed limits the low range.

NTC Thermistor Connector

Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistors are built-in to some power
modules. Because of minimal self heating, the NTC thermistor remains at almost
the same temperature as the power module die and is assumed to be close to
the DUT heat sink temperature.
Because of the slow response time of thermistors, they are not
The PD1550A system uses an analog approach to measuring the temperature
with the thermistor.

Reading the temperature(s) in the PD1000A Control Software

Select NTC_Resistor from the Settings > Hardware Configuration > Fixture > Temp. Ref.
Meas. Device drop down menu. The device temperature measured from the
thermistor is not displayed in the User Interface.

How to select the Thermistor resistance value

Select the value of the NTC Thermistor from the drop-down box. For early
releases of the PD1000A Control Software for the PD1550A, this feature is not
used.
Keysight PD1550A Installation Guide
Because of the slow response time of thermistors, they are not
suitable to detect rapid changes in device temperature. An NTC
thermistor cannot be used for short circuit or over current
protection.
For early releases of the PD1000A Control Software for the
PD1550A, this jack and the device temperature are not used.
