should not be altered or modifi ed in any way.
Refer to operating instructions of equipment this engine
powers for specifi c air cleaner instructions.

NOTE: Operating engine with loose or damaged air
cleaner components could cause premature
wear and failure. Replace all bent or damaged
components.
Air Inlet Elbow
NOTE: Refer to equipment manufacturer's manual for
air cleaner they supply.
1. Disconnect one end of breather hose from valve
cover or air inlet elbow.
2. Remove nuts securing air inlet elbow to throttle
body.
3. Remove air inlet elbow and gasket from mounting
studs.

BREATHER TUBE
Ensure both ends of breather tube are properly
connected.
AIR COOLING
Hot Parts can cause severe burns.
Do not touch engine while operating or just
after stopping.
Never operate engine with heat shields or guards
removed.
Proper cooling is essential. To prevent over heating,
clean screens, cooling fi ns, and other external surfaces
of engine. Avoid spraying water at wiring harness or any
electrical components. Refer to Maintenance Schedule.
