Troubleshooting Audio Problems

Proprietary & Confidential
The Conference Details view's participant list
provides information that can help you deal with audio problems:
The Status column shows you which two participants currently have a
talk slot, indicated by a green circle containing a T.
The Port ID column shows you the card, span, and channel (separated by
slashes) on the bridge to which each participant is connected.
In a ReadiVoice IP system, only the card number appears.
You can use the talk slot information to identify a noisy line (either because of
line conditions or because the participant is in loud surroundings). Then, you
can mute the line or speak with the participant about the problem.
The Port ID numbers enable a telephony technician to tell which bridge
resource is supporting the participant's call.
If a participant is having audio problems, write down the date and the three
numbers in the Port ID field of that participant.
If the same bridge resource continues to be associated with audio problems, be
sure to pass this information on to your system administrator. The bridge
resource information can help pinpoint the telephony problems to a specific
piece of hardware on the telephony bridge, which may need to be repaired or
replaced.
