An operator request alert
When you answer a request, unless you already have a voice path to the
request's bridge, the bridge must dial out to you. This happens in one of
two ways:
— If you've already designated a number for this server to always use,
the bridge dials the number, and your phone rings. Skip to step 6.
— Otherwise, the Create Voice Path dialog box appears
page 13). The Phone Number box contains the default number
specified for the server or group, and it's highlighted. Continue with
step 4.
4
To change your number, enter the new one. To always use this number
when connecting to a bridge on this server, click the check box.
If you mark the check box, the Windows Operator won't display the
Create Voice Path dialog box for this server in the future, it will simply
call you at the number you specified. Be sure the number is correct!
5
Make sure your phone is on hook and the phone number entered is
correct, and then click OK.
The bridge dials the number, and your phone rings.
If your phone doesn't ring, then you entered the wrong number, your line
is off hook, or some other problem exists. Click Cancel to stop the dialing
process. Correct the problem and try again. You must have a voice path to
the bridge to answer a request.
