ReadiVoice Windows Operator Guide
Joining a Conference Without a Request
Speaking Privately with a Participant
14
You can join the conference you're viewing, even if it doesn't have a pending
request, and speak with all the participants in the conference.
To join the conference displayed in the Conference Details view:
1
First, make sure that either:
— You have a voice path to a bridge on the system (server) where the
conference is running.
— You have no voice path and your operator phone is on hook so that the
bridge hosting the conference can call you.
2
Click the Join Conference button to the right of the Conference Details
view
(Figure 2-4
on page 17).
If the conference is locked, you see the Ring button instead. Click it to
notify the conference that an operator wants to join. When the subscriber
unlocks the conference, the button changes back to Join, and you can enter
the conference.
Unless you already have a voice path to the bridge hosting the conference,
the bridge must dial out to you.
3
Follow the procedure for establishing a voice path, described in
Operator Voice Path"
Your voice path line appears in the Conference Participants list (named
Operator) and, depending on how Roll Call is configured, the ReadiVoice
system plays either a tone, a message, or nothing to the conference.
4
When you're finished, click Leave Conference to exit from the
conference.
You can initiate a private conversation with any participant in the conference
you're currently monitoring. For instance, you may answer a conference
request for an operator and join the conference, and then a participant may ask
to speak with you privately.
