2.2.2.2 Bypass Mode

If the inverter does not start or is manually shut down after the UPS is powered
on, the bypass supplies power to loads. The UPS automatically transfers from
normal mode to bypass mode if it detects power unit overtemperature, overload,
or other faults that may cause the inverter to shut down. The bypass power supply
is not protected by the UPS which means it may be affected by mains outage, and
incorrect AC voltage or frequency. The power supply in bypass mode is not
protected by the UPS and therefore tends to be affected by the mains outage and
abnormal AC voltage waveform or frequency.

2.2.2.3 Battery Mode

If the AC input voltage of the rectifier becomes abnormal, the UPS transfers to
battery mode. The power unit obtains DC power from batteries, which is converted
into AC output over the inverter.
