4.4 Battery Module Storage Duration and Recharge
Requirements
A longer storage duration results in larger battery capacity attenuation. Recharge
the battery module after it is stored for a period of time. Determine whether to
recharge or scrap a battery module by referring to
Table 4-1 Battery module storage duration and recharge requirements

Do not unpack batteries. Batteries should be recharged during storage by
professionals as required, and they should be put back to their packaging
after recharge.
The warehouse keeper should collect battery storage information every
month and periodically report the battery inventory information. The batteries
that have been stored overdue should be recharged in a timely manner.
Ensure that batteries are delivered based on the "first in, first out" rule.
If batteries have been stored for longer than allowed, promptly report the
event to the person in charge.
Recharge
Requirement
No action is
required. Use the
battery module as
soon as possible.
Recharge it for
the first time.
Recharge it for
the second time.
Recharge it for
the third time.
It is advisable to
scrap the battery
module.

NOTICE
● If the ambient temperature for storage
is 0°C to 40°C and the last recharge
time has elapsed for 0 to 12 months,
the irreversible attenuation of the
battery capacity is about 3% to 10%.
● The interval between two recharges
cannot exceed 12 months.
