7.7.5 Auger Drive Belt
The auger drive belts are located inside the drive compartment at the lower left end.
Check the belt tension and inspect for damage or wear every 100 hours or annually, preferably before the start of
the cutting season.
Inspecting the Auger Drive Belts
DANGER
Stop engine and remove key from ignition before leaving operator's seat for any reason. A child or even
a pet could engage an idling machine.
1. Lower header to ground, turn off engine, and
remove key.
2. Open driveshield. See Section
28.
3. Check condition of auger drive belts (A). If severely
worn or damaged, replace them. Refer to
the Auger Drive Belts, page
4. Raise header fully, turn off engine, and remove key.
