8.1 General technical specifications
CE approval
The PN/MF Coupler meets the requirements and protection targets of the following EU
Directives and complies with the harmonized European standards (EN) for programmable
logic controllers published in the official gazettes of the European Community:
• 2014/30/EU "Electromagnetic Compatibility" (EMC Directive)
• 2014/34/EU "Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive
atmospheres" (Explosion Protection Directive)
• 2011/65/EU "Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and
electronic devices" (RoHS Directives).
The EU Declarations of Conformity are available for the authorities in charge and are kept at
