2-16 Maintenance overview
When this procedure is performed on a by-unit basis, perform a switch of
activity (SwAct) followed by the RTS command. Execute the LOADFW
command with the UPGRADE option on the now inactive unit.
The next table lists parameters used with the LOADFW command.

description of the RSC-M main shelf follows.
An RSC-M hosts channel associated signaling lines. These lines are directly
mapped to dedicated time slots in the range of links provisioned to the node.
A CAS node can have a maximum of eight PCM30 links. A PCM30 link has
32 DS0 channels for a total of 256 available channels. A CAS AMC node can
support a maximum of 240 dedicated lines. A single RSC-M that has an EXT
half-shelf that hosts a maximum of six CAS AMCs, supports 1380 lines.
