Remote I/O Settings Using Torque Reference

The MX2/RX-series Inverter provides the torque control function.
To enable torque control, use OMRON's unique Extended Speed and Torque Control, Extended Control
I/O, or Extended Control I/O and Multi function I/O Monitor.
This section explains how to configure the Remote I/O settings using the torque reference.
Inverter parameters can be configured using the Digital Operator, CX-Drive, or CX-Integrator.
CompoNet Node Address Setting
There are two ways of configuring the node address of a CompoNet Communications Unit.
• Use the rotary switches on the front of the Unit to set the node address in the range 0 to 63.
• Setting the rotary switches on the front of the CompoNet Communications Unit to 64 to 99
enables inverter parameters. Configure the node address by setting inverter parameter P190.

Remote I/O Setting
Inverter parameter P046 (Assembly Instance No.) sets the type of Remote I/O.
Select the combination of output and input that fits your application requirements.
Here, you configure the settings of Extended Speed and Torque Control, Extended Control I/O, or

Reset Mode Setting
For the MX2/RX-series, by default, the Reset mode is set to Always enabled. This means that resetting
the inverter also resets the CompoNet Communications Unit, which in turn causes the communication
connection to be reset.
To prevent the communication connection from being reset when the inverter is reset, OMRON recom-
mends the following setting.
