Set the area type, first address, and allocation size for each allocation area.
• Area type: In [Area], select the memory type of the CPU Unit.
• First address: In [Address], select the first address of the area.
• Allocation size: In [Node], set the number of occupied node addresses.
For the CompoNet Communications Unit, the number of occupied node addresses can be
calculated as No. of I/O words occupied by Remote I/O x No. of Units.
Data and Participation Flags/Communications Error Flags can be allocated to the following
areas.

Click the [Apply] button.
The settings are saved and you return to the [General] tab.

On the [General] tab, click the [Transfer [PC to Unit]] button.
The settings are transferred to the Master Unit.

Set CX-Integrator offline and power off the CompoNet Communications Unit
(CS/CJ-series).

Power on the inverter(s) and configure the following settings according to 3-1 Inverter
Configuration on page 3-2.
• Set the node address. According to Setting Slave Node Addresses on page 3-15, set the
rotary switches or CompoNet node address (P190).
• Set the type of Remote I/O. Set inverter parameter P046 (Assembly Instance No.) that suits
your application.
