Control Panel LEDs

Power Fail LED

The control panel located on the front of the chassis has several LEDs. These LEDs provide you
with critical information related to different parts of the system. This section explains what each
LED indicates when illuminated or flashing and any corrective action you may need to take.
The power fail LED indicates a power supply module has failed as shown in
second power supply module will take the load and keep the system running but the failed module
will need to be replaced as soon as possible. Refer to Chapter 6 for details on replacing the power
supply. This LED should be off when the system is operating normally.

When the UID LED flashes (shown in
"blue light" function (UID) of this LED is used to identify a specific server in large racks filled
with equipment. When activated locally the LED stays on solid blue. When activated through the
system software the "blue light" will remain on until shut down by the administrator. There is a
UID indicator on both the front and rear of the server.

When flashing, the NIC1 LED indicates network activity on the LAN1 port (see

3-6), it indicates a remote activation of the UID. The
