The chassis includes a set of inner rack rails in two sections:
• inner rails
• inner rail extensions
The inner rails are pre-attached to the server chassis and do not interfere with normal use of the
system if you decide not to install it into a server rack. Attaching the inner rail extensions to the
inner rails stabilizes the chassis within the rack is described in the following subsection.
1. Place the inner rail extensions over the pre-attached inner rails which are attached to the side
of the chassis. Align the hooks of the inner rail with the rail extension holes.
2. Make sure the extension faces "outward" just like the inner rail, reference
3. Slide the extension toward the front of the chassis.
4. Secure the chassis to the rails with screws.
5. Repeat steps 1-3 for the other inner rail extension.
