Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Gas leakage detector for natural gas vehicles - VAS 6227-
Fuel tank filled with sufficient LPG (at least reserve)
Access to all areas on the gas system to be checked must be
ensured
No entries in the LPG control unit event memory

Draft-free work place
Identification of the components
– Check the production date of the reservoir. The date is located
on the bottom of the reservoir -arrow- below the multi-function
valve.
Note
The reservoir has a durability of 10 years as of the production
date. Afterwards, it must absolutely be replaced.
Visual inspection
– Check the gas system for damage, corrosion and attachment.
Functional test
For vehicles up to 12/2010 (emission level EU-4)
– Start engine and check with the switch if the engine is in LPG
mode or in petrol mode.
While in petrol mode, the orange LED -OFF- lights up -arrow C-.
