4.7 Notices regarding battery charger with magnetic charging plug
WARNING
Charging the prosthesis without taking it off
Risk of electric shock due to defects in the power supply unit or in the battery charger.
For safety reasons, remove the prosthesis prior to charging it.

Storing/transporting the battery charger near active implanted systems
Interference with active implantable systems (e.g. pacemaker, defibrillator, etc.) due to the mag
netic field of the charging plug.
When storing/transporting the battery charger in the immediate vicinity of active implantable

systems, ensure that the minimum distances stipulated by the manufacturer of the implant
are observed.
Make sure to observe any operating conditions and safety notices stipulated by the manufac

turer of the implant.
NOTICE
Contact of the charging plug with magnetic data carriers
Wiping of the data carrier.
Do not place the charging plug on credit cards, diskettes, audio or video cassettes.

4.8 Notice for using the torch
WARNING
Use of the incorrect battery type and/or failure to note the polarity
Explosion due to escaping gases and their self-ignition caused by short circuit and excessive
temperature.
Only use type CR2032 batteries.

When inserting the two batteries, note the polarity information on the cover of the battery

compartment.
CAUTION
Looking directly into the beam of light from the torch
Eye damage due to looking directly into the beam of light.
Do not use the torch for examinations, for instance of the eyes (pupil test).

Do not aim the beam of light directly at the eyes of people or animals.

Do not look directly into the beam of light.

If the beam of light is aimed at the eyes, be sure to close your eyes and immediately move

the head out of the beam of light.
