Inserting the batteries (2x CR2032)
INFORMATION
With a bilateral amputation, torch battery replacement depends on the prosthesis, the anatomic­
al conditions and the patient's experience with the prosthesis system. In principle the support of
another person can also be obtained for battery replacement.
To insert the batteries, complete the following steps:

Separating the terminal device from the socket
1) Turn the prosthesis off with the button in the charging receptacle (prosthetic socket) or the
switch on the elbow joint.
2) Rotate the terminal device once around its own axis until a slight resistance is felt (about
360°).
3) Overcome this resistance and pull the terminal device off the socket.
Attaching the terminal device to the socket
1) Insert the quick-disconnect wrist unit into the lamination ring and press it in firmly.
2) Turn the terminal device slightly to the left or right.
3) Verify proper attachment by pulling on the terminal device.
8 Cleaning

1) Clean the product with a damp cloth and mild soap (e.g. 453H10=1-N Ottobock Derma
Clean) when needed.
Make sure that no liquids get into the product and product components.

1) Turn the battery compartment cover counter-clockwise (e.g. with
a coin) until it is released from the battery compartment.
2) Remove the battery compartment cover.
3) Insert 2 CR2032 button cells with the + pole facing the cover.
4) Install the cover. In doing so, make sure the rubber seal is not
damaged.
5) Close the cover by turning it clockwise.
This safety function allows the prehensile arms to be opened regard­
less of the control signals.
► Swing the unlock lever away from the dial (arrow) and open the
prehensile arms manually.
