Engine disassembly

Preparations

-
Remove filler plug • with the O-ring, and fill up with engine
oil.
Engine oil
Mount and tighten oil filler plug • with the O-ring.
Finishing work
-
Install the manifold. (IUI p. 91)

Install the main silencer.
-
Connect the negative cable of the 12 V battery.
-
Install the fuel tank. (IUI p. 102)
-
Install the right side cover.
-
Mount the seat. (IUI p. 1 00)
-
Install the air filter box cover.
-
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand.
-
Refill the coolant. (0 p. 258)
-
Perform the initialization run.
-
Go for a short test ride.
-
Read out the fault memory using the Husqvarna Motorcycles
diagnostics tool.
-
Check the engine for leak tightness.
-
Check the engine oil level.
-
Check the coolant level.
-
Mount the special tool on the engine assembly stand.

Mount the engine on the special tool.

Work with an assistant or a motorized hoist.
