Telligence Bridge
The Telligence Bridge is a software package that is required for all Telligence systems. The
Telligence Bridge allows the installer to configure the Telligence Database.
]The Telligence Bridge acts as the interface between the Telligence system and the
Telligence Database. The Telligence Bridge also acts as a bridge between the Telligence
system and the Integration Module for Telligence (IMT), which is required for integration
with Ascom Unite, and other middleware solutions.
Telligence Bridge is installed on a computer. If the bridge is only accepting data from one
Telligence system, it can usually be installed on a desktop-grade computer. If the Telligence
system is large (over 100 beds) or if the bridge is accepting data from more than one
Telligence system, it should be installed on a server-grade computer. Keep in mind that the
choice between a desktop-grade and a server-grade computer may also be dictated by the
host requirements. Telligence Bridge has been validated for use on a physical or virtual PC
or server that meets the required operating system and functional specifications.
To connect the Telligence Bridge computer to the Ascom Telligence system:
Connect a Cat 5/5e/6/7 cable from the PoE switch to the PoE jack on the Telligence Bridge
computer.

Innovaphone VoIP Gateway
The Ascom Telligence system uses the Innovaphone VoIP Gateways to support the VoIP
speech function. The Innovaphone VoIP Gateway is an IP-based gateway providing the
VOIP-based solution, which supports all the features on a traditional PBX. The SIP trunk
must be used for the interface to the main PBX. The SIP trunk must be set to "Early offer".
A license is required for the Innovaphone VoIP Gateway. For this, an activation code must
be ordered from Ascom before downloading the license from the Innovaphone Customer
Portal (https://my.innovaphone.com/).
To connect the Innovaphone VoIP Gateway:
1. Connect a Cat 5/5e/6/7 cable to the RJ-45 jack labeled "ETH0" on the Innovaphone
VoIP Gateway device, and then connect the other end of the cable to powered port
(RJ-45) on the Ascom Telligence system's PoE switch.
2. Connect a second Cat 5/5e/6/7 cable to the RJ-45 jack labeled "ETH1" on the
Innovaphone VoIP device, and then connect the other end of the cable to an IP jack on
the facility's LAN switch.
