Note: The 4-pole connector terminal required for the room
bus is not supplied with the module. It is available as an
accessory and must be ordered separately.
The NIPC2-WAP module includes a special backplate with
two urethane foam gaskets which makes the modules
splash water resistant to IP44 rating. The backplate must
be mounted on a flat wall surface using the four corner
holes in the backplate.
The NIPC2-WAP module can only be mounted on the
supplied IP44 backplate. The module is not compatible
with a standard module backplate, or with surface
mounting spacers.
The module is attached to the backplate by two latches
and two screws through the cover plate. The screws are
supplied with the module.

Room Modules
Passive Room Bus Electrical Connections
The NIPC2-WAP module is a passive device that connects to a
passive room bus using a 4-pole terminal. The figure below
shows the location of the 4-pole room bus connector for the
NIPC2-WAP pull cord.

Terminating the Block Connector
The NIPC2-WAP module uses a 4-pole terminal block to
connect the module to the room bus's eight wire cable (Cat
5/5e/6/7). If this is the last module on the bus, the four
unused wires should be folded back and taped to the room
bus cable. If this module is to be daisy-chained to another
module down-line on the bus, you must terminate the 4-pole
block connector with matching wires from the eight wire
room bus cable that goes to the next module. You must also
terminate the unused wires on a separate 4-pole block
connector, or similar connector, with the matching wires
from the next room module.
