Caution: Do not tighten the screws excessively, as this will
distort the backplate and the foam gasket and leave an inef-
fective waterproof seal.
Preparing the Cable for the Pull cord Module
After fixing the backplate to the backbox, pull the cable
through. It is important to ensure that a minimum of 15cm
(6in.) of free cable is pulled out of the backbox where pull
cord module is to be installed.
Note: When attaching RJ-45 connectors to the module, use
caution not to strain the connectors. If the cables are too stiff
to fit in the backbox, remove up to 15cm (6in.) of the cables'
jackets.
NUPC Pull Cord Connections and DIP Switch Settings
The NUPC Pull Cord module is an active module that connects
to the room bus. Use the DIP switches on the circuit board to
set the device's bus address.
To mount the pull cord:
1. Set the DIP Switch to the correct room bus address (0...7).

Mounting the NUPC Pull Cord Module to the Backplate
The following illustration shows the backplate mounted on
the backbox with the cable pulled through and connected
to the RJ-45 jacks.
To mount the pull cord module:
1. Slide the cables with their connectors though a module
frame.
2. Set the module's DIP switches according to your
installation's bus addressing scheme.
3. Insert the RJ-45 room bus plugs into the jacks on the
back of the module.
4. Mount the module on the backplate by first position the
two latch fasteners of the backplate over the two teeth
