Terminating Block Connector
Legend:
(1) Cable from previous module
(2) Cable to next module
To daisy-chain the pull cord with the next module:
1. Prepare the passive room bus wires from the previous
module and to the next module.
2. Insert the wires from the previous and next room bus
cables into the first 4-pole block connector in the following
order: orange/white (+5V5), orange (IN0), blue (IN1,
brown/white (OUT). See figure above, item 2.
3. Terminate the remaining wires from the two cables into a
second block connector in the following order: brown,
blue/white, green, green/white. See figure above, item 4.
4. Place the first block connector onto the module's 4-pin
terminal and push down to seat it.
5. Place the second block connector in the backbox. This
connector does not mount on any device.
6. Mount the module onto the backplate or spacer.
Terminating an End of Line (EoL)
When the pull cord is the last module on the room bus, it
must be terminated with 10k EoL resistors (not included).
Terminate the light as shown in the figures below.

Positioning the Backbox for the Pull Cord Module
The pull cord backplate has a foam gasket on both sides to
prevent water entering the module. With the module
mounted correctly on the backplate, the module conforms
to the IP44 ingress protection rating.
Note: Do not mount the backbox over grout lines. Correct
installation is shown in the following graphic.
Backbox Positioning
To drill holes for backplate mounting:
1. Drill four suitably sized holes around the backbox at
77mm (3in.) between the centers, as shown in the figure
below, item 1.
Caution: Use care when drilling holes. Do not drill though
any hidden wiring or plumbing.
