■ Attaching a Shank to the Button

Pull the shank lever toward you before
sewing.

After sewing is finished, cut the upper
thread with plenty of excess, wind it around
the thread between the button and the
fabric, and then tie it to the upper thread
from the beginning of the stitching.

Tie the ends of the bobbin thread from the
beginning and end of sewing together on
the wrong side of the fabric.
Note
• When sewing is completed, be sure to select
another stitch and rotate the handwheel
toward you (counterclockwise) to raise the
feed dogs.

Cut off any excess thread.

similar applications.

"N+", then rotate the handwheel toward
you (counterclockwise) to check the needle
drop position.

 When sewing is finished, the machine sews
reinforcement stitches and stops automatically.

• If the stitch pattern comes out poorly, make
adjustments to "SEWING STITCH
PATTERNS" on page 150.
