Error Messages and Codes
Definition
The wiper has a problem verifying the home position.
1. Run the Wiper Drive test.
2. Check for correct wiper alignment.
3. Check for an obstruction in the wiper assy drive.
4. Run the Head Maintenance Clutch test.
5. Replace the head maintenance clutch.
The wiper didn't stall to find home. Possible problems are:
the clutch is slipping, the gears are slipping or the media
path motor encoder failed.
1. Run the Wiper Drive test.
2. Check for an obstruction in the wiper assy drive.
3. Check for a broken head maintenance belt or gears.
4. Run the Head Maintenance Clutch test.
5. Replace the head maintenance clutch.
The wiper stalled while trying to move up away from the
home position. There may be some interference with the
clutch.
1. Run the Head Maintenance Clutch test, replace the
wiper drive clutch if the test fails.
2. Run the Wiper Drive test. Replace the maintenance
drive if the test fails.
The media path motor has stalled while moving without
the clutch engaged. Possibly paper in rollers or problem
with the gears or motor.
1. Run the Head Maintenance Clutch test, replace the
wiper drive clutch if the test fails.
2. Run the Wiper Drive test. Replace the maintenance
drive if the test fails.
The media path motor has stalled while moving the wiper
to a park position. Possibly interference with the clutch.
1. Run the Head Maintenance Clutch test, replace the
wiper drive clutch if the test fails.
2. Run the Wiper Drive test. Replace the maintenance
drive if the test fails.
The media path motor has stalled while moving the wiper
from the park positon. Possibly some interference with the
clutch.
